Bhutan Encourages HPV Vaccination to Combat Cervical Cancer: Vaccines Proven Highly Effective

In a bid to combat cervical cancer, Bhutan is urging its citizens to get informed, screened, and vaccinated against the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). Recent findings have shown that the HPV vaccine is highly effective, preventing 9 out of 10 cases of the most high-risk strains of the virus, which is recognized as the number one cause of cervical cancer.
The Bhutanese government, in collaboration with healthcare professionals and organizations, is actively promoting the importance of HPV vaccination as a preventive measure against this potentially life-threatening disease. By prioritizing education and awareness campaigns, Bhutan aims to empower its citizens with the knowledge they need to protect themselves and their loved ones.

Cervical cancer remains a significant health concern globally, and Bhutan is not exempt from its impact. Our Department of first year electrical of Jigme Namgyel Engineering College   organized a picnic on April 22, 2018 . The rekhay  bus, fully packed with students headed for rekhay. we were extremely excited to reach the destination. All the students kept singing songs in the bus till they reached the venue.  As the student reach the place student were served with Tea and biscuits by class representative Thinley Norbu and few other students who reached the placed a day before. All the students were divided work among them so it took no longer than an hour or two for cooking all the items. All the cooking was done all together lead by the Thinley Wangchuk as head cook.  The cooking was all over and we gather to celebrate the moment and make it remarkable.
