With its unique development philosophy of Gross National Happiness (GNH), Bhutan has made remarkable strides in providing opportunities and fostering the holistic development of its young population.
Youth Empowerment through Education:
Bhutan recognizes the crucial role of education in empowering its youth. The government has invested significantly in improving educational infrastructure and expanding access to quality education. Today, every child in Bhutan has the opportunity to receive free education up to the secondary level. Moreover, the curriculum emphasizes the importance of moral values, environmental consciousness, and cultural preservation, nurturing well-rounded individuals.

Electrical Picnic

Our Department of first year electrical of Jigme Namgyel Engineering College   organized a picnic on April 22, 2018 . The rekhay  bus, fully packed with students headed for rekhay. we were extremely excited to reach the destination. All the students kept singing songs in the bus till they reached the venue.  As the student reach the place student were served with Tea and biscuits by class representative Thinley Norbu and few other students who reached the placed a day before. All the students were divided work among them so it took no longer than an hour or two for cooking all the items. All the cooking was done all together lead by the Thinley Wangchuk as head cook.  The cooking was all over and we gather to celebrate the moment and make it remarkable. Dalai Lama Congratulates Bhutanese Prime Minister-Elect

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama has sent a warm message of congratulations to Dasho Tshering Tobgay, the Prime Minister-Elect of Bhutan. In his letter, the Dalai Lama acknowledged the historic relationship between the Tibetan and Bhutanese people, and commended Bhutan's progress in democratic governance.
