Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Family: Bodies Handed Over to Grieving Relatives

Menchuna, - A devastating accident occurred on the evening of October 12 near Menchuna, claiming the lives of a couple and their son. Today, the bodies of the deceased have been handed over to their grieving relatives.
The heart-wrenching incident came to light when a road worker, conducting routine maintenance, stumbled upon the lifeless bodies this morning. It was evident that the family's vehicle had veered off the road, leading to the fatal outcome.

The ill-fated family was en route to Phuentsholing from Punakha, joyfully returning home after picking up their son. Tragically, their journey was cut short when their car plunged off the road, resulting in the untimely demise of the entire family. Preliminary findings indicate that the incident was a result of a severe loss of control over the vehicle, leading to the fatal crash. However, a thorough examination is ongoing to determine the exact cause and circumstances surrounding this tragic event.

According to a source, the vehicle was found about 130 metres below the road near lampelri park area. WÒRDS FÓR YÔU learnt that the family was on the way to Phuentshogling from Punakha at the time of the accident. 

The news of this devastating accident has left the community in shock and mourning. The family's relatives, who received the bodies today, are overwhelmed with grief and seeking support from friends and loved ones during this difficult time.

As we come to terms with this heartbreaking news, it serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety.

Our Department of first year electrical of Jigme Namgyel Engineering College   organized a picnic on April 22, 2018 . The rekhay  bus, fully packed with students headed for rekhay. we were extremely excited to reach the destination. All the students kept singing songs in the bus till they reached the venue.  As the student reach the place student were served with Tea and biscuits by class representative Thinley Norbu and few other students who reached the placed a day before. All the students were divided work among them so it took no longer than an hour or two for cooking all the items.
