His Majesty The King Concludes Official Visit to India with a Grand Reception in Mumbai.

In the final part of His Majesty’s 8-day Official Visit to India, His Majesty The King was warmly welcomed to Mumbai, in Maharashtra, yesterday (7 November 2023) . His Excellency Devendra Fadnavis, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, received His Majesty upon his arrival. The city of Mumbai was adorned with banners and flags, reflecting the excitement and respect of the local residents.

Following the welcoming ceremony, His Excellency Devendra Fadnavis accompanied His Majesty to the Chief Minister's office, where the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, His Excellency, had a productive meeting with His Majesty. The discussions mainly focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations and exploring new avenues of cooperation in various sectors.

Later in the evening, a grand dinner was hosted by the Governor of Maharashtra, His Excellency Ramesh Bais, in honor of His Majesty The King. The opulent event took place at a prestigious hotel in Mumbai, attended by eminent dignitaries, government officials, and prominent personalities from various sectors. The dinner provided an opportunity for meaningful exchanges and further deepened the bond between the two countries.

During his stay in Mumbai, His Majesty The King also had the privilege of meeting with prominent business leaders of India. The discussions revolved around potential investments, trade partnerships, and fostering economic growth between the two nations.

Electrical Picnic

Our Department of first year electrical of Jigme Namgyel Engineering College   organized a picnic on April 22, 2018 . The rekhay  bus, fully packed with students headed for rekhay. we were extremely excited to reach the destination. All the students kept singing songs in the bus till they reached the venue.  As the student reach the place student were served with Tea and biscuits by class representative Thinley Norbu and few other students who reached the placed a day before. All the students were divided work among them so it took no longer than an hour or two for cooking all the items. All the cooking was done all together lead by the Thinley Wangchuk as head cook.  The cooking was all over and we gather to celebrate the moment and make it remarkable. Dalai Lama Congratulates Bhutanese Prime Minister-Elect

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama has sent a warm message of congratulations to Dasho Tshering Tobgay, the Prime Minister-Elect of Bhutan. In his letter, the Dalai Lama acknowledged the historic relationship between the Tibetan and Bhutanese people, and commended Bhutan's progress in democratic governance.
