Majestic Presence at Lungtenzampa School's Golden Jubilee Celebrations
On 1st August , a momentous occasion unfolded as His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen graced the Lungtenzampa School's Golden Jubilee celebrations. The esteemed presence of Their Majesties added a regal touch to the event, especially considering that they themselves are alumni of this renowned educational institution.
Joining in the festivities were also Their Royal Highnesses Princess Sonam Dechan Wangchuck, Princess Dechen Yangzom Wangchuck, and Princess Eeuphelma Choden Wangchuck, all of whom have walked the halls of Lungtenzampa school. Former teachers and students who have been part of the school's journey over the last 50 years were also in attendance, creating a heartwarming sense of reunion.
The origins of Lungtenzampa school can be traced back to its inception as Thimphu Nursery School in 1972, under the guidance of its first principal, Mrs. Carolyn Tshering. Since then, the school has flourished, molding young minds and contributing to the education landscape of the region.
